The operative system I use is Gentoo GNU/Linux, is the most customizable OS I have ever touched and is it also the fastest one, It revived my T60 so great, the only natural downside I guess is that you have to be very pacient at installing things, since you will compile everything you need and that takes time.
It's the definitive distro for people with too much free time.
I like to customizate my stuff, and I also like them to be as light as posible, so I like DWM.
Most of the time I use GNU Icecat, somethimes I use lynx, I like lynx for seeing blogs and stuff, and icecat for the rest.
I like to use mpv for music and vlc for videos, idk why
I use Transmission, pretty light and doesn't krash.
I have three machines, a desktop, and two laptops
My desktop is a machine that runs arch (for now), it has a quad-core AMD Phenom from 2010, a nvidia 750 ti and 4 gigs of ram. I haven't installed gentoo on it because it has a strange problem that makes it overheat if the room isn't cold.
My main laptop is a T60 from 2006, it has a core 2 duo 2with 64 bits and 3 gigs of ram, runs on gentoo and I use it a lot since I am far from home.
The other laptop is from a chinese branch, it has no screen and probably I will use it as a server when I get a new cooler for it. It has a i5-3317U and 8 gigs of ram, it has no OS.
I have two wiis, probably I will experiment with them soon.
